There it was again, a hint that something unusual was happening in the world of prostate cancer. The librarian had developed expertise in finding information for doctors - doctors with their own prostate cancers!

I remember the first time I became a father. We adopted Tammy - age four days. This perfect baby girl drawing of a baby buggy just had to have the perfect baby buggy. Sherry and I spent three days picking out that perfect buggy. Suddenly I was noticing baby buggies everywhere. The world was full of people pushing baby buggies. How could I have been so blind to them?

Now prostate cancer seemed to be everywhere! Had I discovered a tidal shift in this disease, or was this just another baby buggy phenomenon?

That evening I resolved to "Surf the Net" and see what I could find on the World Wide Web. Sitting at my computer, I found a search program and typed in the words: 'Prostate Cancer' and 'Gleason Score.' The program found over ninety-six thousand references! I was flabbergasted. I was profoundly impressed with what 'World Wide' really meant. I had tapped into the world's sum total of knowledge. I was beginning to comprehend the enormity of the task before me. I couldn't follow up on ninety-six thousand references in a lifetime. How was I going to make sense of all of this? I understood how a
