Desiree Lyon Howe is a patient education and advocacy expert. She serves on the boards of M.D. Anderson Cancer Center and the National Organization of Rare Disorders and is the Executive Director of the American Porphyria Foundation. She lives in Houston with her husband, Dr. Richard J. Howe.
